This property is situated in a private estate in Loudwater. Its original frontage could be described as overly quirky.

We added a second triangular gable for balance and added small windows to provide a more open face to the building. Waney-edged timber was obtained in order to enhance a theme of heavy texture.

This comparatively minor alteration creates a much more pleasing and welcoming face to the private drive.

To the rear, a centralised two-storey extension adds to both living and bedroom accommodation, while a glass-roofed extension to the kitchen enhances the relationship between kitchen-dining and garden beyond.
