The small woodland area opposite this new build house inspires the use of timber cladding both externally and internally, and floor to ceiling glazing at ground and first floor captures the woodland view. The building responds to the orientation of the site through an angled rear elevation whose sliding doors capture light throughout the day and provides easy access to the garden. There is a sustainable agenda which includes Solar PV whose energy can be stored in a Tesla Powerwall for use throughout the day. A 5000 litre rainwater harvesting tank provides enough water to flush toilets and run washing machines for the whole year.
